G. L. Ramesh Kumar

Born in a family of music lovers and musicians, started learning and singing Devotional songs at the age of six with the guidance of his mother Smt. Mahalakshmi, an accomplished singer and veena player herself.

Started learning Classical music (Flute) during the year 1984, under the tutelage of Vidwan Sri N. S. Muralidhar.

The musical journey :

During the year 1986 started musical career as an accompanying artist with well known Bharatanatyam dancers of the state.

Since the year 1996, performing as a flautist with stalwarts like Sri C Aswath, Sri Shimoga Subbanna, Sri Puttur Narasimha Nayak, Smt Ratnamala Prakash, Sri Raju Ananthaswamy, Smt M D Pallavi and has performed in their Music concerts across the country. 

Also, has rendered musical support on flute to Swamy Sri Sukhabodananda, popularly known as Management Guru, during his discourses on Bhagadvad Geeta at various places across India.

• 2007 @ Muscat, "Swara Sangama" with C. Aswath and troupe

• 2009 @ Bahrain -  Cultural Evening  by SAARTHA FOUNDATION

• 2013 @ Singapore – Concert with Smt. Ratnamala Prakash

Has performed in prestigious events like, Kittor Utsav, Mysore Dasara, Dharmastala  & Shravanabelagola Mahamastakabhisheka Mahotsav and many others.

Commercial & Composition

Has been rendering flute support for commercial recordings and music albums & arranges music for musical album productions.
