Agni Chakra

The Ragas of Agni Chakra are :

• Gayakapriya

• Vakulabharana

• Mayamalavagaula

• Chakravaka

• Suryakanta

• Hatakambari

All the ragas of Agni chakra are Shuddha Madhyama (M1) ragas. ‘Agni’ means fire in Sanskrit. The third chakra is named as “Agni” to depict that there are three different types of “Agni” (fire).

“Brahma Chakra” corresponding to that of Agni Chakra has Prati Madhyama ragas (The ragas of Brahma Chakra have Prati Madhyama in place of Shuddha Madhyama and all other swaras remains same).
