Indu Chakra

The Ragas of Indu Chakra are :

• Kanakangi

• Ratnangi

• Ganamurti

• Vanaspati

• Manavati

• Tanarupi

All the ragas of Indu chakra are Shuddha Madhyama (M1) ragas. ‘Indu’ means moon in Sanskrit. The first chakra is named as “Indu” to depict that there is only one moon to the entire universe.

“Rishi Chakra” corresponding to that of Indu Chakra has Prati Madhyama ragas (The ragas of Rishi Chakra have Prati Madhyama in place of Shuddha Madhyama and all other swaras remains same).
